Alongside contemporary Milanese architectural excellences such as Piazza Gae Aulenti, Unicredit Tower and Bosco Verticale, lie a bounty of hidden places, an unimaginable landscape of possibilities: a district called Isola. This is where the Isola Design District came about four years ago, instantly becoming one of the key areas of the Milan Design Week, aimed at giving visibility to local artisans, studios and galleries, but also to create opportunities for emerging international designers and independent agencies, within the most prominent design event in the world. As of last year Isola Design District was also integrated into Dutch Design Week in Eindhoven, becoming the first Italian design district to participate in an international event. Zup oversaw the branding and art direction for Isola Design District in the occasion of the Design Week.
