Client: NID
The NID (Nuovo Istituto Design) is a post-graduate school operating in Perugia since 1983. The professional training courses at NID are recognised across Europe in the following design fields: fashion, graphics, interior architecture, photography, comics and web. Zup oversaw the institutes’ branding and communication from 2009 to 2014, dealing with digital and custom communication. The visual submitted for the 2016-2017 NID-Contest for the assignation of a scholarship is based on the association between words and images: the characters and associated words evoke the most disparate meanings, inviting the user to create an original image via the random combinations generated by the website. No technical constraints are given, on the contrary, the user is free to use any sign or material, to draw or photograph, being guided purely by ones’ unique way of seeing and experiencing things.
