Client: CTS Grafica
Spollo Kitchen is a project developed over two years to promote the activities of the CTS Grafica printing house within a specific client segment: designers. The Spollo Kitchen book is a visual cookbook resulting from a process of blending graphic design and cuisine. One hundred Italian and international designers were invited to illustrate their favorite recipes in a call for the best culinary poster. Judged by five professionals in editorial graphic design, the selected projects were then recreated by a professional chef and photographed.
This involved a year of photographic reporting and tastings, creating a true journey through flavors and visual alchemy. The project featured renowned illustrators such as Ale Giorgini, Mauro Gatti, Riccardo Guasco, Sunday Büro (Goran), Jeremyville, Stefano Marra, Mr. Bisquit, Lo Siento, H. -57, Sigrid Calon, Ivo Schmetz (310k), Studio Fludd, and studio FM Milano. The Spollo Kitchen book has garnered attention from numerous publications and industry bloggers, including IdN Magazine, ilPOST, Gambero Rosso, FrizziFrizzi, FineDiningLovers, Klat Magazine, Design Playground, and Think.BigChief, and is currently available in specialty bookstores. The initiative received technical support from Polyedra for paper supplies and backing from two major Italian associations: AIAP (Italian Association for Visual Communications) and ADCI (Italian Art Director’s Club).
For the Spollo Kitchen Party event in Milan, Zup Design created a modular installation made of cardboard totems that formed a maze of images. The system is easily disassembled and fully adaptable to any exhibition space
