Eight oak wood containers that reflect on half-forms. Everything we cut in half in the kitchen creates asymmetrical shapes, like half lemons, half onions, and half cabbages. From the study of these basic cooking ingredients’ cuts came the inspiration for a series of stackable bowls, whose shape evokes the missing other half of the contents.
8EMEZZO is a design project created for the Umbria Region as part of UMBRA EXPERIENCE: SCORCHED OR BLACKENED, a collaboration with the ABA, Academy of Fine Arts in Perugia, exhibited during Milan Design Week 2016 at the University Statale, as part of the Interni Open Borders event.
Within the installation, artistic experiments by four professors from the "Pietro Vannucci" Academy of Fine Arts in Perugia were presented, focusing on the innovative use of four traditional materials characteristic of Umbrian craftsmanship: Arthur Duff/ceramics, Marco Williams Fagioli/wood, Pietro Carlo Pellegrini/paper, Paul Robb/glass.
