Elica, boasting a market presence dating from the 1970s, is the global leader in the production of kitchen hoods and extractors, and the European leader in the production of motors for domestic ventilation. Notable experience in this sector, a keen eye for design, and the refined materials and technologies that guarantee maximum efficiency and reduced consumption, are the elements that make the Elica Group emerge in its field, allowing the company to revolutionise the traditional conception of kitchen hoods. Zup designed and developed the Elica Group Annual Reports between 2010 and 2013. The concept for the 2011 edition playfully riffs off the idea of ??a hypothetical reader who in order to navigate the maze of balance sheets and numbers, must take on the role of accountant. For this reason, the cover is produced in a mirror finish with printed spectacles and moustache (further customisable with stickers) allowing anyone picking up the book to reinvent themselves as a numbers expert. The report comprises of six monographic booklets with an interactive approach and an unconventional aesthetic on a traditional paper medium. For example, Elica products can only be viewed with the supplied 3D glasses. Portraits of managers can be drawn by the reader by joining the dots on blank pages. Board executives are presented by means of special QR codes translated into infographics. European Design Award (‘13)
